The mayoress of Calpe, Ana Sala, has signed Calpe's adhesion to the Comunitat Valenciana Gastro-tourism Network and its brand 'L'Exquisit Mediterrani'. This tourist label, created by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, aims to promote the gastronomy of the Comunitat Valenciana as a first-class tourist resource, as well as to promote its excellence.

In this way, Calpe aims to promote gastronomic tourism in the municipality from an approach shared by initiatives and projects - public and private - arising from different areas of tourism, gastronomy and ranging from haute cuisine to experiential products in the territory such as wine tourism, agrotourism, olive oil tourism and fish tourism.

"Calpe had to be part of this network that tries to make visible and promote our gastronomic products, their quality and authenticity and that as its name suggests highlights the excellence of its offer", said the mayoress, who has highlighted the level of Calpe's gastronomy not only in terms of its products but also in terms of its cuisine, with high quality catering establishments, among which three Michelin star restaurants stand out.

Under this brand, Calpe Town Council will participate in the next edition of Madrid Fusion to be held from 29th to 31st January.

The GastroTourism Network CV is the collaborative governance instrument of TURISME CV since 2019. It connects initiatives and synergies in the territory from the 10 centres of the CdT Network and Invat-tur. It has more than 100 entities and tourist destinations that are collaborating through their own actions or in collaboration and coordinating their programmes. All with the aim of promoting and promoting a differentiated offer that reinforces the position of the Valencian Community as a gastronomic tourist destination.
