Calp historically maintains the quality label for La Fossa beach for 30 years, and to celebrate it, a picture was taken of the raised blue flag with the people who have been in charge of the beach services for the last 30 years.
The mayors and council members of Tourism of these past few years, the current ones, the staff of the department of Beaches and the expert working to accomplish the blue flags during these 30 years, Juan Antonio Andrés, gathered in La Fossa beach to raise 2016’s flag. The first award was given in 1987, and since then, La Fossa beach keeps obtaining it together with the Arenal and Cantal Roig beaches, showing its management quality.
“The management quality of our beaches is recognised year after year, a symbol of work done correctly by the town council,” points out the council member of beaches, Jan Van Parijs.
