In order to avoid crowds and preserve the ecosystem of Penyal d’Ifac natural park, it is necessary to book an appointment in advance. The park’s governing board established a few months ago a limit of visits to 300 people per day in order to protect this natural environment, a measure that initially was not motivated by the COVID-19 restrictions, although this decision will help to avoid the high influx of visitors recorded in recent months.

It is the same booking system that already exists and works successfully in the Cova Tallada within the Montgó Natural Park; those interested in visiting the park must book an appointment at least one day in advance via the park’s website. Only one reservation can be made per person per day. Reservations are non-transferable, so they cannot be used by other people. The reservation may be required by a police officer at any time.

As the width of the path does not allow for the minimum safety distance to be maintained, the use of a mask is recommended throughout the entire route. Mountain footwear, appropriate clothing for the time of year and water are recommended. From the tunnel onwards due to the danger of the path, it is recommended that children do not carry on with the route.
