The City Council for Tourism has already designed the calendar of tourist fairs to be attended this year, which represents a strategy of continuity in advertising in the city's traditional and basic markets. In order to maintain the current staffing, but also to make the visit of guests independent of the season, Calpe has developed a program that includes participation in a total of 7 fairs

The calendar starts with FITUR in January, the Salon des Vacances in Brussels in February, ITB in Berlin in March, MEDSEA in Alicante, World Travel Market in London in November and the Dutch Sneak Previer Solmar in Maarheeze in December.

In addition to the tourism fairs, the City Council for Tourism, coordinated by Paco Avargues, runs two major promotional activities, such as the campaign on billboards and Muppis on the domestic market and the Jet2 promotion, one of the main British operators. Jet2 is promoting the winter product as part of its de-seasonalisation plan.

Advertising activities are also planned on the German market and the Scandinavian countries. However, the promotion plan will be consolidated next month when the Tourism Council, whose rules have already been approved, is finalised and the results of the 2020-2030 strategic plan are incorporated.
